Barbara E. Ford, local artist and author, introduces her elegant new book on the tangram, an ancient Chinese art form.

"In the Palm of Your Hand: Dexterity Games 1880-1960"
An exhibit entitled, "In the Palm of Your Hand: Dexterity Games 1880-1960", will be shown at the San Francisco Main Library from September 10 - October 27, 2002. Included are over 250 handheld palm-sized games collected for the past 20 years at garage sales, antique stores and anywhere else Barbara Levine could find these pocket sized games. Levine says, "I think it's human nature to be distracted. It's human nature to challenge your hand eye coordination."
